What is Off-Spec Customs?
Off-Spec Customs is where engineering, creativity, and pure chaos come together in a garage that's doing its best. I’m rebuilding my 1998 Acura Integra—a car that started life as a humble LS and now rocks a GSR swap. It’s part passion project, part science experiment, and entirely off-spec.
Who am I?
When I got this car, I had exactly zero mechanical experience. I basically learned everything from watching Eric the Car Guy and ChrisFix on YouTube (thanks, legends). Since then, I’ve picked up a ridiculous mix of skills—woodworking, welding, custom electronics, tuning, 3D printing, and just enough fabrication knowledge to be dangerous.
Yes, my garage is a mess. But you try doing all that and keeping it clean. 😅
Brains, Tangents, and Meltdowns
I’m also AuDHD (autistic + ADHD), which means I don’t always work in straight lines—mentally or physically. Expect hyperfixations, distractions, meltdowns, and moments like:
“Wait, what was I doing again?”
or
“I swear to god I just had this damn tool in my hand and set it down right here!”
That’s just how the process works around here. It’s chaotic, sure—but it still gets done. Eventually.
Why I Share
I don’t build things the “right” way. I build them the Off-Spec way. And if I can help someone else along the way—whether by sharing a file, showing how I fixed something, or just making you laugh when I forget why I started a thing—that’s a win.
Everything I post here is meant to be used, remixed, and improved by the community. Take what works, leave what doesn’t, and let’s build weird stuff together.
